I got a visit from the Flowerhorn fairy today. Not that I'd ever call the dude that gave them to me the flowerhorn fairy. Well at least not sober anyhow. Wink

Anyway, I'm gonna preface this with that I appreciate dude's generosity, but holy crap. Not sure what I'm going to do with the lot of 'em. I'm glad I got those 37g tanks yesterday I tell you what.

I asked him for 6 inch or so fry to grow out. Instead of 6 he brings me 11, since according to him every time he's given some to anyone they've always had a few die. They're 11 I hate the made up names, *cough* ahem, Blue Dragon zz x Blue Pearl zz.

On top of that, since he is of the opinion that the one I've ended up with here is a male, he brought a slightly larger sized proven female so I can breed my own. I've got her in QT with a few parrots and she's already giving them hell.

I am definitely at my mutant capacity right now.

LMAO, great pick up. Gonna have to write a book, "The Making of a Cichlidophile: the saint_felony Story".

What? No comments about mutant hybrids? Who are you and where's the real Wyite! Wink

Anyway, while they won't ever beat out the turtles, and while I do like most of the fish out there, it did take the freaks of the cichlid world to turn me around on them. Doesn't hurt that they're the only fish I've seen yet that isn't poop it's pants scared when the one year old comes a knocking either. Wink

Do I hear a challenge for the next POTM? Those parrots are funny shaped enough I might be able to get pants on 'em. Wink
