unknown african, help

Picked this guy up when he was only 1/4" long (free). Now he is about 2 " and I don't know what kind he is. Anyone know?

Definately a Malawi Mbuna looks like a Cynotilapia sp. "Lion" (Lion's Cove) Looks to be transforming to a Male. http://cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=698

Definitely Cynotilapia afra, and agree with MC's assessment of possible male of the Lion's Cove variety.

i just spent a good week deciding on which mbunas to purchase and i concur that it appears to be lions cove.definately cynotilapia and a good looking one at that
