| I have been doing some swat training as well as some pretty intense range training over the last few months at work. I finally finished up training....Now I am fully trained on using and shooting an AR 15 in real situations well real simulations....Also have been getting beat up getting pulled out of cars and such simulating swat situations and such. I have been putting off doing my taser training so next week I will have to get tased with 50,000 volts for five seconds. It sounds stupid but it will be worth it the first time I get to tase someone else...hehehe. Anyway just random ramblings I am so siked. _________________ "There he goes - one of God's own prototypes - a high powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. | That's standard practice in law enforcement. They want the guys to know what it feels like so they know what they are doing to the other person. Typically you will also have to get some pepper spray and/or tear gas in the face too.
I went to a police chief convention one year and they were tasing people and handing out free T-shirts to whoever would volunteer to get tased. That was fun as hell to watch. I didn't get tased because I figured I didn't need a $5 T-shirt for that amount of pain...lol.
Good luck, MC! |

| Getting tasered sucks but it doesn't hurt nearly as bad as those damn bean bag rounds. Taser shotgun rounds are mf'n awesome though, you should see if they have any of them. Congrats on the AR-15 training. The few times they let me shoot that one it was too heavy and bulky for my tastes. My favorite so far that I've ever gotten to shoot of the semi-autos is a toss up between the mp510 and another one that I'm blanking on the model right now. The sinper stuff is my favorite by far, but then again of everything I like skill involved with the single shot ones. The mp510 (and most shotguns) does make you feel like a total badass though. I'm going to have to see if/when they do car simulations. Those sound like fun. The indoors/close quarters paintball simulations were awesome. |

| Wow dawg start deleting them if you see them I don't know what is happening...must be a forum error...or just plain human error....lol I am trying to run my post count through the roof...just kidding. Oh and we just had a jail meeting and the Captain just told us he was getting some rubber ball gernades to use if we have riots in the jail...those sound interesting. _________________ "There he goes - one of God's own prototypes - a high powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. | *note to self...don't mess with Pauly*....OMG, I sooooo wanna do that too!! Well not really get tased but the other stuff.
My question though, if they make you get tased, pepper sprayed, pulled outta cars and things like that to "know what the other guy would feel like" why don't ya have to get shot? I mean not that I want you shot Paul, cause I don't...but if they want ya's to feel what the other person would...well they could just shoot ya in the arm or something that isn't fatal so you can "know what it feels like". No, I don't really want them to...just sayin.
I wanna do forensics is what I'd like. |
