| In the 10 plus years I have not had to deal with much disease in my tanks. Recently I had a bad case of Velvet in one of my tanks. My Green Terror had it bad and barely pulled through. Both of her eyes were completley white covered. She is doing great now but still has something wrong with her eye. It may be permanent but I wanted to know if anyone has ever had something like it happen to one of their fish. I looked closely and it looks like a white spot in side the eye and a slight cloudyness in the eye. I think it is permanent damage myself...any thoughts. _________________ "There he goes - one of God's own prototypes - a high powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. | I've rescued goldies that have had a similar cloudiness that you've described. That however was just from being kept in extremely poor conditions. For those it took months, but they eventually cleared up with regular water changes and care.
On the other hand (and you're not going to like this one) I have a Jack Dempsey here, that came in with a really bad case of ich. She had problems in her one eye, more of a sheen then a cloudiness, but there did appear to be specks of some sort even after healing up. She's still alive and doing well but eventually did lose the eye.
I'll try to get some pictures of the JD and post 'em for you to compare. |

| It may just take some time is all.
The JD has been healed for well over a year now. You'll be able to see the end result, but not originally what it looked like. I just need to get her out of the pond to do the pic. |
