| I looked into my snail tank tonight to see these little spots moving on the glass. I had to look real close in order to see that they were baby mystery snails! I have been trying for months to get these to hatch and all it took was for my tank light to burn out. |

| Sweet! I don't know about the mysteries, but the apples take for-freakin-ever to hatch. Something like two months till they finally came out and then the discus ate 'em. Those bastards. |

| 2 weeks they take to hatch. Once they get bigger I'll start selling them off. I have to start applying for permits to be able to sell them off. I'll get pics up as soon as I can |

| Nice job, Mike. Some snails do require permits to ship out of state. Not sure which ones though. |

| Yes you do need permits to send some snails and a some are common types. I can't remember either....I think I may have a post about it here somewhere or on AC, used to have it book marked but can't find it. _________________ "There he goes - one of God's own prototypes - a high powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. | Kim_TMA on AC said that she had to get permits to ship them. She sent me a link and I have it somewhere when I find it I'll post it in the inverts section. |

| I had numerous mystery snails hatch, but my survival rate - despite 0 on ammonia, nitrite, and nitrates - was very low... I found many empty small shells, but I know there are a few planaria or something in my gravel, and I hear reports of baby snails being preyed on by those things. Have lots of veggies on hand - I found zucchini and cucumber a hit, as well as some high protein sinking cichlid pellets. But my spixis have actually increased their population despite being in a predator filled tank...
Best of Luck! |
