It was sold to me as a Albino Burmese catfish or albino walking catfish. I am thinking it is a Albino Asian RedTail or a channel. Give me a ID please.

Thank god. It's just an albino channel cat. I hope you didn't pay more than a few bucks for it.

The fish farm guys breed 'em for townships and stuff to stock their ponds with so other people can go fishing. They're dirt common and breed like mad if the giant tubs up there are any indication.

Retail price from them for a 2 to 4 inch channel is a buck.

The big boys they sell go for something like 3 or 4 bucks a pound, which I think they said is something like a foot long.

Pretty sure it’s a bagrid and not a channel cat (ictalurid). The nasal barbels are too long, the maxillary barbels appear superior rather than inferior (ictalurids usually have inferior maxillary barbels drooping over the corners of the mouth), the dorsal fin has 8 rays (IIRC, most ictalurids have 6), the anal fin starts farther behind the pelvic fins than in I. punctatus (or the majority of ictalurids, for that matter), and the caudal fin is forked all the way to the caudal peduncle (IIRC, no ictalurid has a caudal fin that severely forked). Pimelodids only have three pairs of barbels, lacking nasal barbels. Bagrid of the genus Mystus or Hemibagrus would be my guess.

I can get ya that far without diggin’ further. Give me a day or two and I may be able to narrow it down to a species.

albino Hemibagrus nemerus

Second pic down on the page. Does your fish have the dark edge on the adipose fin? Looks like it to me from the photos.
