I removed all of the silicone from the inside of the tank using a razor blade then washed it using vinegar to remove all of the residue that was left by the silicone. I then left the tank to dry out thoroughly before i resealed it.

I'm going to water test it this weekend, so i'll let you all know how it went when i have done.

Very nice, my resealing jobs have never been that pretty. Especially in the corners. *splorp* Smile

Good job, nice smooth, even bead. I hate resealing tanks.

My EBJD is going to use it as a growout tank for a little while, he's about 2" at the moment and in a 29g tank so hopefully he will grow a bit quicker with the extra space.
After he has finished with it i'm going to spray the trim and hood black with krylon fusion paint. I'm also going to build a nice stand for it and hopefully turn it into a reef tank.

Krylon fusion works great for plastic, but don't believe the can that it dries ready for use in an hour. Smile My area may be more humid, but I have to leave it sit at least overnight and it still may be tacky.

Well at least you have plenty of time to let the silicone set up and cure completely.
