| I removed all of the silicone from the inside of the tank using a razor blade then washed it using vinegar to remove all of the residue that was left by the silicone. I then left the tank to dry out thoroughly before i resealed it. | Very nice, my resealing jobs have never been that pretty. Especially in the corners. *splorp* |

| Good job, nice smooth, even bead. I hate resealing tanks.

| Mostlycichlids wrote: | | Nice....what is the plan now? | My EBJD is going to use it as a growout tank for a little while, he's about 2" at the moment and in a 29g tank so hopefully he will grow a bit quicker with the extra space. After he has finished with it i'm going to spray the trim and hood black with krylon fusion paint. I'm also going to build a nice stand for it and hopefully turn it into a reef tank. |

| Krylon fusion works great for plastic, but don't believe the can that it dries ready for use in an hour. My area may be more humid, but I have to leave it sit at least overnight and it still may be tacky. |

| Well at least you have plenty of time to let the silicone set up and cure completely. _________________ "There he goes - one of God's own prototypes - a high powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die".
