| Ove the past 2 days I have been setting up my 72 gallon bowfront for my discus. I took pictures to show ya'll the transformation. In this picture I'm draining the tank and will be removing the blue rocks. For the substrate I'm using Seachem's flourite black sand. Like the Moon sand I dumped the two bags of sand into a 5 gallon bucket and rinsed it untill the water ran clear. Once the sand was rinsed I used my hands and scooped the sand into the tank. I did something that I thought was cool. I left the center empty and took natural looking rocks and made a path running up the center. I put a plate in the center so the water wouldn't disturb the rocks and sand. Once the tank was filled I started planting. I only have a few plants because I want those plants to have a chance to grow and spread out. . I let the tank cycle over night. To speed up the process I used 3 filters from the 55g discus tank and the rocks I used came from the tank as well. I put the discus in last night and everyone is doing great I'll post pics later tonight. |

| Nice looking fish, Mike. A lot of fish in there not normally suggested as companions for discus. Have they been with the discus in the past? Curious how it's worked out.

| Yes everyone has been in there for over a year and I haven't had any issues. The Angels adopted the 3 bigger discus when they were smaller. |

| Nice. Just more support for the contention that ya don't have to follow the status quo and "canned" rules to be successful.
Again, nice fish, nice tank, I like the variety in that set-up.
