Actually, I've noticed it too to an extent.

When I log in here, and hit the new topics since last log on button, I get next to no results.

If I use the little roll on the right I see at least 10 topics that I would have otherwise missed. I'm starting to get a real hate on for that new topic bug.

Do you control the new post scroll? Can you crank it up to 15 or 20 recent posts? I hate that I'm missing stuff and it seems to be happening fairly regularly.

Yeah I actually noticed that today too. Posts I never read were cleared out as already being read?

I will look in to it further...I don't even use the button I just look for the blue FWM buttons!

Actually that's what I meant. The blue dots don't show up sometimes even when there is a new post.

Yeah I have a thread about it, it's a bug they are working to fix.
