| As the few others sadly died... I thought I'd do another grandma thread. CS and BB is really on a roll though, and have twice laid new eggs after I got the babyfish I got now... sadly they've become no more then snacks for the parents, as I really do not have any means of keeping more babies. The babies we have now was born on the 9th and 10th of December, and they're now all starting to look like proper fish! Here's some piccies I took of them on the fifth: Clickable: And this one looked so cute!!! How snuggadelic is he? lol! I'm very worried about what will happen as they grow bigger though... clearly I cannot keep them all, so I'm hoping I'll be able to give most of them away to a pet store as they get a bit bigger. But as goldfish do not get their colour until they're about a year old, I'm worried the petstores won't be interested taking them on. |

| Took a piccie during feeding time this morning (clickable): Three of them are massive! OK, so compared to their parents they're tiny, but they're still massive compared to their siblings. They're absolutely amazing now, with their beautiful little scales and giant eyes: |

| Newest piccie of the babies... as you can see there's a lot less then we started out with, but even though it doesn't look like it, there's about 30 of them left. 3 of them are massive! One looks red (left corner), but he's actually blond (clickable piccie). |

Nope, but I haven't been trying yet either... they're way too tiny to go to anyone unless they have an aquarium just for them (they'd get eaten)... but th three largest can hopefully go in with the parents in a months time.
There's quite a few of the little ones I don't think will make it... some seem to have a giant swimbladder, and others have some seem to have some problems swimming. But as far as I can see (and feel) they don't seem to be in any pain, and will all swim up to get food, just that they take a lot longer then the others to get up). I still got my fingers crossed, they'll all make it. And if "the special" ones make it, then I'm keeping those, as I couldn't bare to part with them. |
