| An Ice storm came through last night and did a lot of damage! there is a total of 205,000 people with out power here in maine and 400,000 people in New Hampshire.
I work for Whole Foods Market in Portland and my store will be with out power untill sometime saturday. I was one of 3 people in my department that came in to help out close the store down. I estimate about 1 mil dollars worth of product loss store wide.
The Govener issued a state of emergency @ 7 this morning. There are power crews comming as far away as S. Carolina, New Brunswick Canada and Michigan.
Temps for tomorrow will be 17-25 degrees so everything that melted today will freez tonight. |

| Sounds bad, hope everyone is OK. We had a bad ice storm here in Canada in the province of Quebec several years ago and it took a long time to get everything up and running. Did you loose power where you live, or did you get lucky? _________________ |

| I got lucky. The area I live in has power but I can drive down the street and there are houses with out power. The last major Ice storm was in 98' where it took about a month to get power back to the entire state. I was out of school for 3 weeks. |

| Well hopefully things get better. Those deep freezes can be a little scary. Fairly mild winter out here in Colorado, I am waiting for that eight foot storm over night I know it is still to come. _________________ "There he goes - one of God's own prototypes - a high powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. | While I'd like some snow. I don't think I want that much snow. That's nuts. Hopefully you keep your power. |

| We laugh about anything less than a foot here. In the city (Denver) they freak out about a few inches....guess you have to live in the mountains for a while you get used to it. _________________ "There he goes - one of God's own prototypes - a high powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. | All is good now. Still alot of people with out power tho. its going to warm up over the next 3 days and the electric company is worried about the ice melting and snapping the limbs back up and and knocking the power out again. |
