Currently have at least two Pseudotropheus perspicax "Ndumbi red top" and one Pseudotropheus demasoni holding.

The perspicax are turnin' out to be the easiest mbuna I've ever bred. They were spawning within an hour of gettin' them in their tank. Had 'em less than a week now and a third may be holding, can't get a good look at her yet. The males are a really attractive light blue with rusty orange dorsal fins and the same color "caps" on the head, the females kinduva darkish gray. Surprisingly peaceful for mbuna from what I've seen. Have two males and four females in a 55 with an electric yellow lab and an albino M. greshakei, both of which were already in the tank. The perspicax ignored 'em when these two tried to assert their dominance, and all was peaceful in minutes when the lab and greshakei got bored.

The way the demasoni are going, I'll have several more holding soon.

Ended up with six male and one female red zebras (Maylandia estherae), but actually they're gettin' along pretty well. These guys and the demasoni make a striking mix in the 90 gallon tank they're in. Guessin' I have one male and two female Nimbochromis venustus, they're still a tad small to be sure.. Other acquisitions are a bumblebee mbuna P. crabro and one Maylandia pyrsonotos. Having a heckuva time gettin' pics of the Malawis with the cell phone. They're too durn fast...

I'm havin' a helluva time findin' auratus, believe it or not, a personal favorite of mine, and lookin' for some Melanochromis joanjohnsonae.

Finally, growing out one unidentified hap that was a sport in a shipment of young electric yellows at one of the stores in Denver. Pretty much rounds out my current Malawi activity...

On the Tanganyikan Front, picked up a pair of Neolamprologus leleupi and three Synodontis petricola.
Wanting some Tropheus moorii "Lufubu purple rainbow". Talked to Julie at Golden Fish, MC, and she said she could get 'em for me as pairs. Not really likin' that option, but may hafta break down and do it anyways.

Very nice dude! Just add rocks and water...lol. Yeah Julie's fish have never been diseased or unhealthy.. She does like to deal in pairs though, I don't know why. You may even get a hold of Jason McDonald aka unknowingly from A-T he lives in Denver and I think he can get his hands on some nice Cichlids. Watch out for all those males though, I think the water in CO/WY turns males out!

I've always had 50/50 ratios in the past. Wondering if Petco got a bunch of males from their wholesaler...
