| Not the best pics in the world, but I've been thwarted in acquiring a camera again, temporarily. Anyways, this should give everybody a taste. First, the 225 with O's and the GT visible... Next, this one is for saint. The largest male Amphilophus "zaliosus" , LOL. This guy was a nice black and blue three weeks ago... Tha odd couple, a weather loach and a Chinese algae eater who are inseparable. The gold "flashes are the gold barbs, who were moving too fast for the camera to catch. And finally, three shots of my Essequibo River biotope tank, from left (top pic) to right (bottom pic). Couldn't get a decent pic with one shot... This 55 gallon tank has glowlight tetras, gold tetras, dawn tetras, pristellas, green cories, melanistus cories, a banjo cat, and three BNs for algae control. The BNs will go to another tank when I can get my hands on some Ancistrus hoplogenys to remain true to the biotope. Final addition will be two cupid cichlids ( Biotodoma cupido). Plants are swords and green cabomba, filtration is an Emperor 400. Two 32 watt T8 6500K daylight bulbs for lighting, no CO2 injection. The Cabomba has to be pruned weekly and the black sword at the far right has a runner that has two additional plants I need to trim and plant (you can see them at the top right). Had a few others, but they didn't turn out at all. Well, better pics of these and more of my tanks some day. WYite _________________ One can never have too many fish tanks.

| Well, the 225 is not an "amazon" tank anymore, LOL. My RD, the six amphilophus hybrids from saint, a redhead cichlid and a salvini joined the oscars in it several months back. The Central Americans were just beating each other up too bad in the 90s. Upped the filtration to 2250 gph, pushin' 7 months now and everybody is happy as a lark. Here's a coupla pics of the RD. He's turned into a 10" hunk. Nothin' in the tank takes his crap though. The redhead, who's 7" right now, was a concern at first. Was afraid I might be adding him prematurely. He's fourth in the hierarchy behind the two largest O's and the RD, and the RD backs down from him half the time. The redhead and salvini will not let me get pics fer nothin'. The RD is an attention hog, though. I'll be gettin' some gorgeous pics of him with a camera. Two of the O's paired up a coupla months ago. I thought I was in for a heckuva problem, and started makin' arrangements to get the 180 into the family room, finished or not. Between the RD, the redhead and the salvini they wouldn't let 'em spawn, though; the O's were too busy tryin' to keep the other three from moving in on the rock they claimed. Think the O's got too tired to do it. The pair still swims together, but haven't tried to lay eggs again. I was surprised, my 13" tiger oscar is a female and the 12" albino is the male. I woulda sworn the tiger was a male. WYite _________________ One can never have too many fish tanks.
