So we have sort of an unofficial rule, that any feeder goldie that manage to survive 24 hours with Snappy, gets a full pardon and have earned the right to live in whatever non life threatening enclosure that makes the most sense at the time. I would pick either one of the plant tubs, or one of the different box turtle habitats if it ever happened before.
Well, not only did this one comet make it 24 hours. It made it to over 72 before I finally got around to pulling it out.
I'm interested to conduct some tests next time I pick up feeders. Normally the comets are orange black and white or some combination of the three. This particular comet was brown. Were it a fancy goldfish I think they call the color chocolate, or at least around here they do. I'm curious to see if the comet was lucky, smart or a bit of both, since I've never before seen Snappy miss one.
