So here's what's in my Amazonian 225:

4x oscars (Astronotus ocellatus) - one 12" red tiger, one 10" red, and two albino tigers at 10" and 8"
1x green terror (Andinoacara rivulatus) - 8" male
1x striped pike cichlid (Crenicichla strigata) - 7" and growing fast!
1x banded leporinus (Leporinus fasciatus) - 8"
2x four-line pimelodus (Pimelodus blochii) - 8" each
1x common pleco (Hypostomus plecostomus) - 11" and growing fast!
1x sailfin pleco (Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps) - 6"
and the oddball...
1x iridiscent shark (Pangasius hypophthalmus) - 7". Started showin' some problems with stabilty when swimming a coupla days ago. Keepin' a close eye on him to move to QT if I need to.

May end up addin' a coupla more fish, but not many. I want a jaguar catfish (Liosomadoras oncinus), and another cichlid. Maybe a rosy basketmouth (Caquetaia spectabilis) or a parrot cichlid (Hoplarchus psittacus). We'll see. May end up satisfied where it's at.

If/When I get my Parrots to breed, I'll send you some fry. I only have 4 but I'm hoping there's a pair in there. Smile

Filtration is three Magnum 350 Pros holding Eheim Substrat Pro biomedia and one Magnum 350 w/o bio-wheel attachment, holding API Ammo-Chips. That's a turnover rate is 6.2 times the volume in gph. This will be the standard regime unless I need other chemical filtration, in which case I'll switch out the ammo chips. An Aqueon 950 circulating pump is mounted along the bottom to keep water moving upwards. At 31" inner depth, I've had issues with anaerobic zones at the bottom in the past so hafta keep the water circulating deep.

No, he wasn't bloated. He was fine all day yesterday, ate well, looked good. Found him dead this morning. No idea what the deal was. Totally came outta the blue.

Sweet dude sounds like a great setup. Last I seen of that tank was out in your garage empty.... Sucks the shark croaked.
