| So, I was changing the water on the pacu pond last night, and much to my surprise, found a single 5 or 6 inch pacu, shoot out from behind the rocks then vanish again.
I still haven't decided what I'm going to do with him, but I'm wondering if there's any more. I was thinking I'd try and pull him out and put him in with the lone red tailed cat, but that may be more work that I want to do for something that may end up being a snack.
Whee!

| Not sure what else it could be. There were 5 big ones, and now there are 5 big ones and one small one.
I did move around the rocks and the big flowerpot in the bottom, and all I saw was the one little guy, so either he's really lucky, or he ate any of the other small ones in there. |

| Very cool, I just had a similar fish find. Not as cool as yours. _________________ |

| Any extra fishies are cool to find. It means you're doing something right. So I went digging. Turns out there are two wee ones. There's one that's about 4 inches, who I pulled out, and am currently letting hang out with a single jag. So far they've been pretty chill together, but if the jag gets nippy I'll find somewhere else for him. The second, or the original one I saw, the 6 incher, is now out and in the tank with the red tailed cat. Again, totally on a trial basis, He's too big to fit in the cat's mouth but I don't want him to get the rough business either. Worse comes to worse, I can put them back in with the big boys, but right now I guess I'm still in the holy crap I can't believe they had babies stage. Not that I have ANY clue what I'm going to be doing with more pacu. |
