| Just wanted to update everyne they have been free swiming for a week now and are doing well they are eating baby brine shrimp like crazy and appear to be growing. I also have a pair of black viel angels that spawned and also a pair of Apisto macmastri and Apisto agizzei that have a spawn as well. I guess what they saw it true about spawning fish is true when you least expect it expect it. |

| I am very lucky that the water here in Tucson the PH can be changed by uaeing R/O water and lots of peat moss in the filters and driftwood. I have life plants in all my tanks inculding the breeding tanks and that helps keep the pairs happy the biggest thing with the T candi is they like P H around 4.8 and that is hard to do. I got them to spawn the P H is at 6.0 they seem happy so I am going to keep doing what I am doing.I the other dwarfs that have broods right now are not as picky about P H they are all in 6.0 water as well so all I can say is some time you can wing it and not belive what you read in books. The blackvail angel fish that have babies are a pair I have had in my 60 gallion that have not spawned for me in over a year I moved them to a 30 and with in 2 weeks they spawned. Funny how things work some times. |
