| Er. I just recently watch The Machine Girl, and before that Tamala 2010. Yea, most of my movie collection is odd. |

| A good friend of mine lives in Japan, and she sends me weird movies all the time. We're both fans of crazy horror and weird indie stuff. Machine Girl fits the crazy horror spot, and Tamala is a weird animated indie flick.
For those interested, Machine Girl needs no more plot synopsis than, Japanese schoolgirl with a Gatling gun for an arm. Ash from Evil Dead taken to a whole new level of insanity.
I'm still not sure if I can properly explain the Tamala one tho. |

| Oooooo.... I like horror films... sadly cannot find many that lives up to "my standards"... I prefer them to be scary and nailbiting instead of gory (not that I mind gory... but I want the scary part too), but most now-a-days are pure gory, and they normally bore me. |

| The actual scary films are truly a lost art nowadays. Everything seems to be gross out horror. My issue is the ones that take themselves way to seriously (Saw I'm looking at you) Splatter Gore filled horror with a sense of humor is chock full of awesome tho.
The last movie I can think of that while not traditionally jump out of your seat scary but really creepy/scary was Oldboy. |

| Oldboy... my absolute fave film... yes, in my opinion nothing beats it... a masterpiece. Yes, it might bring up subjects that most people (including me) find quite uncomfortable... but it's so beautiful and sad... mixed with highly entertaining and that edge of your seat feeling - fantastic! |

| I haven't seen it yet, but Lady Vengeance, done by the same guy that did Oldboy, should be out real soon now on disc. It played in one of the small art theaters for a week, but I didn't get a chance to go see it. |

| Lady Vengeance was brilliant... miles from Oldboy, but still brilliant. Didn't like Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance much though (the first in the "triology"). |

| Ya. I actually fell asleep half way through Sympathy and never bothered to go back and finish it. I'm glad to hear Lady Vengeance was good tho. I believe it comes out here in the next week or two. If I'm lucky it will be next tuesday and we can all watch it Thanksgiving evening after the kiddies go to bed. |
