So, here's the story. One day during our fish shipment, my manager says, "Look at the size of this female betta!" It was huge. The body was like double the size of any bettas we sell, male or female. It also had this awesome, awesome blue in the fins, so I bought it, as a female. I went home and put it in a bowl..and it immediately built a bubble nest. Then I noticed that it flaired at the male in the other bowl. Then I noticed it didn't have the white spot under it's belly. This all, obviously, points to a male. But I'm wondering if anyone can identify what kind. I have pics. Warning: They are not the best quality. But I think you can see the fin shapes. Thanks in advance!

Yeah I seen that...lol. It looks like a female to me really.

I'm pretty sure it's male though. I know it has shorter fins, but everything else points to male. And there are males with shorter fins like that.
