Well as much as I said blood parrots are ugly in the past, well I bought one of those ugly bastards. I have been looking at them in Petsmart for some time but couldn't justify spending $24 on one. So I was there about a week ago and noticed they were on clearance for $12.99 so I got sucked in and got one.

I will try and get some pics of the ugly thing up soon!

Personality wise, I like 'em. Ugly. You know it, but there's a tank of them by my desk and they're always so happy to see food.. I mean me.

Really me, with food, but they're happy at least. Smile

and they breed like mad, so you'll get free food and if your lucky some seriously insane colors. There were three white fry in the last batch. The mother is orange with black streaks in the fins, and the father is 100% orange.

Hmm....Maybe down the road I will try breeding the ugly cute fish. I noticed it trying to hint to the severum and the cons but they are having no part.

i had the same idea in the past ...i called it the ugly hybrid and suddenly i got 2 BP as a birthday present from couple of years then from that time i am one of BP fan ..
when u start to breed them u can't stop its so fun..
i breed them once with a midas/RD and once with very low grade FH and finally try to breed it with a texas but the male texas died before fertilize the eggs

the BP X convect" zebra" made what they call dwarf parrot or some call it green parrot "not art." but when it hybrid with the pink convect get a better look fish
convect gene are so strong i saw a lot of hybrid fish that there parent had been mixed with zebra convect u can easly know from its colore and shape that one of its parrent is a zebra convect Very Happy
good luck

The cons don't mind the ones here. I'm pretty sure they've made Snappy snacks as well as the regular parrots.

I never did try sticking a sev in with them though.

Sounds interesting, would love to see some pics and hear some more about your projects in detail.
