how do i trim a val thats over three feet long without killing it? it looks like jungle or spiral val but ts not twitsy.

Just trim it 3-4 inches below the water line. If you trim it diagonal and at a leaf base it will look better. Either way trim it up and it will grow back and be ready to trim again in no time.

ok so it wont kill it to cut it like that? i like this plant. It grows from the bottom like hair, so trimmin it that way makes sense.

I havent kept many live plants but I have kept some vals and they grow like weeds...I'm sure that they will be fine just trimming them really no need to remove them from the tank to trim either.
