| Well, honestly 180g is plenty enough for what you have in the 100g and some. A 180g is a very nice sized tank....Which I would shoot for. _________________ "There he goes - one of God's own prototypes - a high powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. | Are you sure a 180gal is good enough? Also if I do get lets say a 200 or 300gal tank can I put a arrowana with them? |

| Whoa, buddy! Rein in those horses! Seriously, arowanas open a whole other can of worms. Due to their length, they need tanks that are wide and long. At a minimum, I don't reccomend putting an aro in anything less than an 8' long by 3' wide tank. It could be argued 200 gallons is enough volume for an aro, the real problem is the footprint of the standard 180-225 gallon tanks. They are 6' long by 2' wide. In a tank that size, there is a very high probability that an arowana will develop health issues and deformities. As for the fish you have, redneck woman is correct, a 180 gallon tank will be adequate. WYite _________________ One can never have too many fish tanks.

| How about researching fish you like. Then come back and discuss what you like. I would wait till you get the tank to start thinking about what to get. _________________ "There he goes - one of God's own prototypes - a high powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Magnum 350 is rated for 350 gallons per hour on a 100g tank thats a water turnover of 3.5 times an hour. I would shoot for 1000 gallons per hour. So two magnums would give you a turnover rate of 7 times. The rating is for brand new filters that are empty so once full the flow rate will decrease. Now that being said more contact with media also means more efficient filtration and stronger bacteria growth.
So I guess there is no right answer but IMO more filtration is better and you can't really over filter. Make the decision yourself I guess is what I would suggest....If it was my tank I would have as much filtration as I could afford. _________________ "There he goes - one of God's own prototypes - a high powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production.
