| Im gonna set up either a smooth soft shell turtle breeding project, or a festae project (not much of a challenge imo, although ive never had festae before), don't ask me why these 2 lol, i dunno myself, this ones mostly up to my gf, and these are the 2 she likes the most, so i figure if were gonna have either im gonna breed them. im leaning towards the turtles myself cause i think that would be a far greater challenge. Ive breed everything i ever tried too, from wc pbass to the rarest most endangered vics i could find, so i want a real challenge to be honest. Im also open to other suggestions though, as long as its a challenge and visually appealing for the gf
so which would you think would be cooler? |

| The turtles definitely sound cool but I wouldn't even know where to begin with them or what the possibilities of breeding are. Good luck, which ever way you go. |

| How much room do you have?
Softies are pretty awesome, tho really easy to breed. They get beefy.
Same with most of the hard to breed guys. Clown loaches, hardly ever breed and are beefy. Arowana, giant gouami, and a bunch of others. Giant gourami get out to pacu sized monsters.
If ya have the room, and the money, pig nose turtles would be an awesome breeding project. |

Oh, you meant in my aquarium. Corys, angels, GBR's, plecos, guppies, swords, goldfish, koi, loaches, mollies, discus, apistos, most tetras, some barbs...how about a list of the ones that I don't like. It would only be ones that I don't have...yet.

| Wild Altums are gorgeous and incredibly finicky. Need big tanks 'cuz when they get spooked, like at every passing cloud, they'll take off and run smack into the end of a 4' tank like it wasn't even there. 1st time I tried 'em I killed 'em good. At least a six foot tank, well planted and filtered, but if ya like angels at all they are abfab.
How about a bird? Chicks dig parrots. Probably somethin' to do with those big beaks that can snap a phallic looking tree limb without a hitch. Maybe a pair of Rose Breasted Cockatoos or Hyacinth Macaws (probably ten grand a pair now-a-days).
Salt water cardinals or cleaner shrimp in a real perty acrylic radius cornered tank?
Or if ya wanna get rid of her try pot bellied pigs. They are some horny devils, and if ya don't get the pygmy variety they get REAL big. If you laugh when somebody with a stick up their but gets their leg humped by a dog you'll absolutely die when a big ole root hog mounts some poor unsuspecter...funniest thing I've ever seen in my life, just glad it wasn't my gal.
What can I say? My sense of humor has some serious issues...and I agree with all of them. |
