| 10 gallon is a little small for a breeding pair of convicts, especially once the fry start growin' a little. I use 20 longs for breedin' mid-sized CA cichlids. Other than that, think ya have a solid plan, but you'll find even pink convicts saturate the market pretty quick and there won't be much of an interest after a spawn or two.

| 20g long would be absolute minimum to breed thewm IMO. _________________ "There he goes - one of God's own prototypes - a high powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die".

| Hit up the concrete section at Lowes. They have a 2x3 foot by 8 inch tall concrete mixing tub. Hard heavy duty black plastic, made by the same company that makes the hard pond liners for about 12 bucks. With some slight modifications you can use an Emperor 400 on it for filtration, toss in some gravel on the bottom and a few clay flower pots, or pvc tubing (something to block line of sight.) and taa-daa. In no time you'll have more cons than you know what to do with. |

| Yeah pretty much add water and let em go. The reason space is essential is for the aggression and mating ritual...The female may get beat up without proper retreat space. _________________ "There he goes - one of God's own prototypes - a high powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production.
