| I suspect that particular cichlid hybrid combo is genetically not possible. They're too far apart on the family tree. That would be akin to crossin' a whitetail to a caribou, ya know what I mean? I'll state up front I may be wrong, but it sure seems like a stretch. If they are legit, they would almost certainly hafta be a result of artificial fertilization.
I was rackin' my brain on ram variants that could be passed as ram/angel hybrids. After thinkin' 'bout it, I'm wonderin' if they aren't a long-finned, balloon/popcorn ram?

I would have to agree. _________________ "There he goes - one of God's own prototypes - a high powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die".

| Regular rams are usually recommended with discus, I'd say these should be alright.

| they are most likely balloon rams, they are round like a discus but they are in fact a ram, they dont do well as the compression to their bodies leads to problems with their digestive system. Alot of asian fish stores like to call them angel rams to make them sell faster then if they were called balloon rams. |

| angel ram are balloon ram it is not hybrid fish its a deformed fish as anther balloon fish "start from balloon molly to balloon Texas etc ." they happened due to several things as a pre-time breed "try to breed young fish " or a bad breeding water conditions ... the ram/angel is a commercial name to sell fish faster as some LFS say the Chinese high fin shark is a shark or a lotch to sell it faster or when they call a normal pacu a pacu piranha or something like that |
