About a week ago BB decided he wanted a "date" with CS... and he was all over her like a rash! lol! However, being typical femal, she was playing hard to get.

We were hoping things would happen, but didn't have high hopes, and we also had to leave for a few days... so in the weekend feeder went, and they were left to their little lovenest...

And coming back - fish spawn!!! But, it must have either happened in the morning, or the day before, as most had been an extra little snack for mummy and daddy.

Anyway... we were home late, and thus had to go to bed... of course I couldn't sleep, as I was way too excited as I could see that many eggs had been fertialised... so up I went to sit and gaze at the aquarium.

And within an hour, the first little fry was swimming about! Never actually have had little ones before, I wasn't really certain what to do... but as I saw CS and BB having another feast, I tried to seperate the fry and the eggs from the parents... very unsuccessfully...

By the time we were able to get to the shops (very late the next day)... I was left with what I only thought were a few unfertialised eggs, which I with a heavy heart stuck into the new fish bowl we bought...

To my delight we have atleast 2 little ones in the fishbowl now! There could be more, but with them being so incredibly tiny (and there's plants in there too), it's very difficult to tell.

In hindsight I've googled about it... so next time it happens I will be prepared, and scoop out the eggs to safety as soon as it happens.

What met us coming home Monday night:

    As I had them "seperated":

Cool, good luck with the ones that survived. It is always fun having babies expecially the unexpected ones. I wish my goldies would spawn!
