Severums???

Very cool. I'm guessing all that's in that tank is sevs? They get kinda mean breeding from what I've heard.

I got them about 1yr ago when they were 2" +/- the male is now around 6" or so.

They eat a varied diet. Some Ken's growth pellets, some regular pellets, veggie flake, regular flake, and frozen mysis, bloodworms and spirulina. Sometimes I throw in some plain veggies. They will eat just about anything.

I use zebra danios for dithers but they tend to get picked of now and again by the sevs (live food). I had a school of 6 about 6 to 8 months ago and it's down to 1. I also have a BN in there. When there's eggs the BN doesn't go near the area. The sevs sometimes get aggressive towards each other too.

For the most part I find the sevs to be pretty calm fish compared to other medium to large cichlids but they are a little crazy when they spawn.
