| I stopped by the fish farm today, they saved me a big box full of past their prime plants for the gang here to chew on. Most of their deliveries are on mondays and tuesdays and we got there when they were unboxing a big order of random plecos. In with the commons and royals and the other ones they usually get, they had both the first time I saw them and the first time they ever got them were L-034. On the list they were called Medusa Plecos. I'm not sure if that was the best name for them, given where the weird tentacles are, I think Cthulu pleco would have be more appropriate but then again I wonder how many people would know have gotten it.. Anyway, I'm going to do some reading on them, and make sure I'm not in for any surprises, but there may be some new plecos here soon. |

| Yea. I saw that page already. I was trying to hunt up feeding info specifically.
Wanted to see if they'd be okay with sinking pellets, or what. Most I've seen so far just says that they're omnivores, but lean more towards carnivore. I haven't come across a ton of info on them just yet so I'm thinking they're not all that common.
I was thinking them and some small schooling fish, (I'm partial to white clouds) would make for a nice tank. |

| I wouldn't recommend white clouds with the plec because the white clouds are cool water fish and will do better at lower temps.
Sinking pellets, veggies, etc...are good things to feed. Check out www.kensfish.com for his "KENS PREMIUM SINKING PELLETS WITH SPIRULINA" |

| I know they're supposed to be a cooler water fish but I've never had any problems with White Clouds being kept on the warmer side. I have some with a few Cherry Barbs left over from when I was feeding the no longer baby mud turtles small live things.
That tank is kept around 77ish, and they seem to do really well in it. |

| Hmm. as far a feeding, don't ask me, just make sure if they are wood eaters you have wood for them to munch. _________________ "There he goes - one of God's own prototypes - a high powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die".

| Sounding like it's going to be a go. Right now I have to wait like a week or two. Their actual customers get first crack on any new fishies, since they make considerably more money from them ordering them than from me. |

| No prob saint...just thought I'd mention it.
I'm not sure if you checked them out yet but the pellets from Kensfish that I mentioned are specifically formulated for ancistrus. They have more protein than a typical bottom feeder pellet. |

| The website is scary, but the pellets sound like they may be good. Do you use them?
I was thinking about trying out a pound to start with. My only concern is that they don't get all crumbly gross. I forget what brand it was, but I got one type of larger sinking pellet, and they kinda fell apart like I had tossed Cheesy Poofs in the water. |
