| I just wanted to tell you all about the Missouri Aquarium Society, Inc. I went to my first meeting last week (I saw a listing for the society in TFH mag.) and met a lot of awesome fish keeps. It was really cool to be able to hang out with, and talk with, a huge group of hobbyist face to face. I could go on and on about the MASI but I won't bore you all with that. I am going encourage you all to check out the web site though, .( MASI) and invite you all by if you find yourself in the area. If you should have any questions, ask a way! I met Scott, "BigMOCats" at the last meeting. Scott serves on the MASI executive council, I'm sure he would be glad to answer any questions you might have as well. To sum it up for ya, I had an absolut blast at the meeting and look forward to attending the meetings, auctions, swap meets, and other fuctions that the club hosts. O ya! There is going to be a big, huge summer auction on August 16th. Check here (MASI Summer Auction) for details. _________________ I'd have more aquariums but when I talk to my wife about it, she gives me the look!

| The Missouri Aquarium Society(MASI) is holding their monthly meeting Thursday, Nov. 19 at 7:30p, at the Dorsett Village Baptist Church, off McKelvey Rd., in Maryland Heights. This months speaker will be Ted Judy. His talk is titled “Ted's Most Excellent Cameroon Adventure: Part 1 - Southern Cameroon - Ndonga to Ntem”. This talk tells the first part of the story of Ted's trip to Cameroon in February, 2009. The presentation covers the area of southern Cameroon from the Ndonga area to the Ntem River system on Cameroon's southern border. Ted shares his adventure collecting fish in the areas in and around Ndonga, Kribi and the Campo-Ma'an forest reserve. You will see cool fish (both common and rare) including the discovery of a new species. You will also see what life is like for many of the people in Cameroon, from the largest city (Douala) to a small forest village. Ted is an addicted aquarist with over 25 years of fish keeping and breeding experience. He is a generalist who enjoys all types of fish from anabantids to tetras, but always finds plenty of room in his fish room for fish from West Africa (especially the dwarf cichlids). Ted is an active member of the American Cichlid Association, the Milwaukee Aquarium Society and the Madison Area Aquatic Hobbyists. Ted is a former high school science teacher who is now a full-time stay-at-home father with a fish room. He is a prolific speaker, proficient writer and wants to be a better photographer. Ted also maintains the web sites www.tedsfishroom.com (his personal site) and www.apistogramma.com (a community site dedicated to dwarf cichlids).
