| Most all the fish I keep are from South America, and yes, Big and Cats are a part of them. I keep the usual fair: rtc's, o. niger, tsns, marble cats. I 've kept many other types over the years, mainly large pims. Then there are the characins: wolffish, piranha, pacu, brycon, cudas, exos and many types of silver dollars. One tank has a school of 15 black-bars. I also just recently lost my dorado, he was over 5 years old and about 18". The there's the cichlids: black belts, pbass, oscars, pikes, dovii, festivums, uaru and about 15 severums I caught while in Peru and brought back. Tanks are 2-200's, 2-150's, 125, 110, 100 and lot's of smaller tanks. There is also a pond, a tub and about 5 tanks in the back yard, not included in the 1500g. Oh yeah, there's an arowana in there somewhere!
Turtles are another madness, between my brother and I we have about 10 differant species including a Matamata from Peru. He has over 3000g at his house including a 8' x 8' indoor pond that once housed SW sharks!
That would be a brief description.
BTW - some of you might know me, I use the same screen name all over the net and attended the ACA and the Catfish convention last year and will be in Cinci this year.
Look forward to contributing here! Thanks for the warm welcome. |

There are also some other hobbies of mine, plus my brothers pond business. The Piranha Realm pics are a small public aquarium I helped build here in StL. It has since lost it's lease and we are currently looking for another location! |
