Nice, old school but nice. That's a pretty good deal. Just need to learn to develop your own photos or be careful not to lead thumb it. You can rip though a roll of film with an SLR in 10 seconds. Smile

Thanks guys. I've always had an intrest in photography but never wanted to shell out $1,000 bucks for a camera and then find out that I really dont like photography. This way if I don't like it I'm only out 40 bucks insted of a $1000.

Thank's for the tip Rick I'll make sure to keep my thumb under 100 fps. I don't know if I want to develop my own photos, I have a fear that I'll get some chemical on my hands and then not thinking do a water change or feed my fish with out washing them first.

Nice pick up Mike!

I would still use ours if I could get the film developed somewhere around here. Walmart was the last place we used but, they stopped about a year ago. Now its digital or nothing around here.

Nice camera.

I have a film SLR (Nikon N80 w/ lens). No one seems to want them any more since the digitals are so easy. I rarely use it and have tried to sell it but people won't pay anywhere near what it's worth because it's film. I don't use it at all because the developing is a pain in the butt. I keep it around because I paid so much for it and I'm hoping to get a Nikon digital body which will use the same lenses so it's not a total loss. Sorry for the rant...anyway I hope you like it. Photography is a fun hobby.

Nev: Look into the indie camera stores. I would be shocked if there wasn't somewhere local for you to get film developed. At very least there's still a few places online that will let you mail them film and they'll develop it for you too.

DD: It's not that no one wants film anymore, it's just digital is so much more cost effective to process. I love my Lomo and gramps old Leica M7 but they only ever get used for artsy stuff since there's not only the cost of film but the extreme length of time to get it processed properly.

Mike: Be careful with Walmart, if your photos are too "professional" they may balk at developing them.

Thanks for the info. I'll look into the indie stores once I start taking pictures.
