hey all sorry its been forever since ive posted. i work construction and summer is always busy. barely enuff time to do water changes. anyhow i have a 135 with all mbuna in it with tons of rockwork. i have a good size pleco but i need somethin to clean the bottom. any and all suggestions are appreciated. i was told somethin with spines but what that is i dunno. also can someone explain when and where and what a dither fish is used for. my 29 tall aurora (1 male 3 females) i thought might need one since either my fish is not attracted to the females or hes gay. i think the bastard is gay in which case hes gonna be fried metraclima this friday cuz i spent alot of time lookin for those ladies for him. anyhow thanks in advance

Ok, Featherfin Synodontis are great scavengers and fit well with Mbuna. There is also other species of Synodontis but be careful what you choose some get huge, Featherfins max out at about 8 inches. Second a "dither" fish is a fish or fish used to ease a skittish or timid fish. They help to make other timid fish more comfortable with their surroundings....

ya ive been looking at synodontis maybe that 'll be the one. i saw a cat looking fish in a store once that had like sharp pointy fins or somethin on its back. its obviously protection cuz what would want that in its mouth. i thought dither fish had to do with dealing with the aggresive fish in the tank. anyhow thanks for the info.

Umm, you can pick them up at Petsmart for about $12 to $15 bucks a piece.

Also I think you are talking about "target fish" rather than dithers. Target fish are hardy fish that aggressive fish can take the aggression out on instead of each other....That is the best example I can give you.
