| lol!!!! If you had told me two years ago that I would love snails I would have thought you were out of your mind!!lol I got some ramshorns on some plants from the LFS and immediatly loved them. Then when I saw purple, pink, blue, yellow and jade apple snails I lost all control!!!lol You need to set up another tank and get you some!! You would love them!! _________________ Tina

| i wanted to know,my 5 gallon tank has a opening in the back,if i get a snail should i find a way to close the opening,or the snail will never go any higher then the water?? |

| It's been my experience if it is a brigs snail and there is an opening they will find it. Just make sure to keep the water line down a couple of inches from the top and you should be fine. They usually only venture out when they want to lay eggs and the water line is too high. If you only have one you won't have to worry about the egg laying though.l If your snail comes up missing, check around the tank. They can live for a while out of the water.
