POSSIBLE TANK MATES: Cherry Zebras, Venestus, Kenyi, Gershaki, Dolphins.

FILTRATION AND SETUP: HOB, Mechanical, Chemical, Canister, or trickle filter will work just fine. Yellows like a rich sediment bottom. Sand or gravel will work fine as a substrate as well. Likes lots of rock work, slate, tree roots and caves. Likes weekly water changes of about 1/4 tank or more.

COLORATION: Bright yellow with a black trimmed dorsal, ventral, and anal fins.

BREEDING: Likes to breed on a cleaned off piece of slate or flat surface, may make a pit in the right conditions. Does the breeding dance in were the female holds the eggs in her mouth and the male fertilizes them. The female will hold the eggs until they turn to fry in about 3 to 4 weeks. She will spit them out and care for them for about another week. Males become aggressive during breeding, and multiple females are better with single male to reduce spawning aggression.
