Allow me to say a few words about myself.

I work at a petstore, but only till I finish school. After working with the fish and animals in the store, I realized that my training was not exactly the best, and I want to actually learn the truth about fish tanks and fish-related issues.

Currently, all I have is a 10 gallon tank. I live in a very small apartment. I bought the 10 gallon for my female bettas, which were in gallon bowls before. Unfortunately, my prettiest one (which I believe is a female crowntail) shreds the fins of all the other female bettas. So...I bought 3 white cloud minnows for the tank. I also have a mystery snail in there.

I'm hoping to eventually have a larger tank with a couple angelfish, a striped raphael catfish, and a few other fish.

Anyways. That's me. cheers

Yep, we will help you along your way! The tank sounds nice, I once had a 10g with female bettas, I seems the more plants I put in the less aggressive the tank became.

Thank you all. Smile

I have a few live plants in there now, but they're still doing pretty small. One is growing rather quickly though...anubias, I believe?

Yeah, I've talked to Wyomingite a few times about fish-related issues. It's amazing how many things we tell customers that is wrong. I didn't realize the 1 gallon per inch of fish rule is kinda worthless, or that a few of our tags are wrong about how big a fish gets.

The store I work for is one of the better ones I've been to. But...I hate working for a chain. Yesterday, I sold 2 pacus for a 55 gallon that already had 2 pacus. Sad I told the customer no but he wouldn't accept it, and I had to get the store manager, who folded. It's sad. And the customer wanted the two largest ones in there. They're still only about 4 inches, but we've had them for awhile and I really like pacus.

Anyways...I'm sure I'll ask lots of questions. I was planning on using the chat on here a bit, in hopes that some of you will pop on and talk about fish. Smile
